Choosing fonts

Here is example 13 and here is the CSS file.

In the BODY section there are now two lines like this:

font-family: Candara, sans-serif;
font-size: 12pt;

The first sets the font. The browser will try each font in the list, ending at the last. There are several generic fonts which all browsers should support, including “sans-serif”, “serif” and “monospace”. This will apply to everything inside the BODY tag (ie the whole page), except where I have over-ruled it in the DIV.codeblock section.

In the TR.footer section I set the font style to italic for a laugh:

font-style: italic;
